Symbolism and Philosophy
The title, as well as the terms "Nada" and "Bindu," refer directly to concepts from Indian philosophy. Bindu often represents the point, the origin, or the drop from which creation springs. Nada refers to the cosmic sound or vibration. The artistic depiction combines these metaphysical concepts with a central physical-biological form, which can be interpreted as a symbol of the transition from spirit to matter.
Behind the dancer stands a massive, dark object with an almost technical or industrial appearance. In the Indian tradition, it could be interpreted as a *lingam* (a symbol of Shiva’s creative energy); however, its metallic, almost machine-like aesthetic gives it the air of an anchor point—a "fixed center" within an otherwise fluid, drawn world. It represents the stable core around which life (the dancer) revolves.
